Whale Island Travel Guide

Getting there
To reach Whale Island, follow the National Highway 1 to Van Ninh, 60km north of Nha Trang. From there, it is a two –hour boat trip. Another direction from Nha Trang, it is over two hour drive to Dam Mon Pier, from where you will take a boat for 5 minutes to Whale Island.
What to do?
At Whale Island Resort, you can simply enjoy the nature, the emerald sea or have fun with any activities available such as wind surfing and canoeing. One good point of Whale Island is definitely in its underwater landscape, Vietnam starts to be a diving destination, and the diversities of coral as well as the other components of the submarine fauna, like nudibranches, contribute to the reputation of the place.
PADI instructors are waiting for you for initiations or courses or for diving on Hon Trau Nam, Hon Kho Trang, Hon Tai and in the pass of Cua Be with its angels fishes of more than 40cm, its sting rays other leopard rays etc...
When to go?
Scuba –diving season on the island ends in mid October and starts up again in mid February. The best season for diving is from April to September.
